There is no difference in the incidence of nappy rash between babies wearing real cloth nappies and disposable nappies (Golding, Philip R, Hughes A, 1997 Getting to the bottom of nappy rash, BJGP Vol 47, 493-497)	Baby boys who wear plastic disposable nappies have higher scrotal temperatures and this is believed to effect male fertility and increase the risk of testicular cancer Parsch, 2000 Scrotal Temperature is increased in disposable plastic lined nappies, Archive of Diseases in Childhood 83, 364-368.
8% of Salisbury's Landfill site consists of Disposable nappies... & They are not expected to completely decompose for another 500 years... It is estimated that over 25million disposable nappies are landfilled in Wiltshire every year.
Four and a half trees are destroyed to keep one baby in disposables for 30 months.
